The best summer dresses that are perfect for your 2024 holiday

Strapless necklines and warm weather go hand in hand like a summer dream, and I can't stop thinking about this piece by Charo Ruiz. Although I'm personally mad for broderie anglaise, I'm aware that without the right cut it can look a bit twee. I have no such concerns here. I love the how the blue embroidered accents work in combination with the geometric cut-outs for a sense of elegant depth.

With a nostalgic 90s flair, this jersey slip by H&M is perfect if you're after a more low-key, figure-skimming holiday look. The lace trim around the neckline is super flattering and I like the unfussy appeal of the minuscule ditsy floral print.

Zimmermann excels in romance for all seasons, but for summer I've got my eye on its paisley 'Matchmaker' dress. Square necklines are infinitely flattering, and I love the drama of the ruffle-lined straps alongside the bow focal point open-back. 

Fluid and airy, this georgette number by Faithfull The Brand is a sartorial ode to a print classic. Polkadots feel distinctly summery, and I love how the spacing of the dots on this chocolate brown dress exude a certain lazy nonchalance. Sunset supper 'fit, sorted. 

Farm Rio captures the thrill of adventure in its collections, and its 'Palermo' dress is testament to that. The stark colour contrast between the red and the cream is really striking, and I love the attention to detail of the beaded straps.

Cut from delicate white lace, this piece by Hill House Home is a celebration of femininity. The contrasting bow straps are bang on trend for SS24 and the semi-sheer lower tier is an elegant touch.

Ditsy floral prints can so easily fall into lacklustre territory, but Sisterhood's Violet dress feels fresh and utterly pretty. The colour combination of the yellow and lilac has an air of optimism, and it looks lovely fused with the 90s silhouette.
